Types of Safari

Jeep Safari – Jeep Safari is a popular way for tourists to explore the jungle in an open-gypsy. Jeeps are small vehicles that can accommodate up to six adults and two children. Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Dhela Zone, Durga Devi Zone, and Sitabani Zone of Jim Corbett offer Jeep Safari bookings. It is mandatory to book a night in the Dhikala zone in order for to Dhikala forest lodge booking.

Cater safari – The Canter Safari is another great way of exploring Jim Corbett National Park. Teachers typically have the size of a bus and can accommodate 16 passengers. It is best to book a canter safari in Jim Corbett if your group is larger than 6-8 people. At Jim Corbett, canter safari bookings are only available in “Dhikala”.

Elephant Safari – Because of animal abuse in Jim Corbett by the locals, the High Court has banned elephant safaris.

Charges to book

The price of jungle safaris varies depending on whether you ride in a jeep or a canter and your nationality. There will be a permit fee, guide fee, driver fee, and jeep/canter cost.

Advance booking of Jim Corbett Safari Online

Safaris can be booked online in two different ways – Jeep Safari and Canter Safari.

The official website of Jim Corbett National Park allows you to book your safari online. Here’s what you need to do.

Step 1

By completing the registration on the Jim Corbett official website, you will need to provide proof of your ID and date of birth, as well as a photo and contact information.

Step 2

Click “Submit” after choosing your password. Once you have signed in, you will be taken to the Corbett national park booking portal.

Step 3

On the website, you will find an option to book your jungle safari. Just select the zone and date that works best for you. The safari availability is found on the next page.

Step 4

Choose one that is available and agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 5

Choosing the number of adults and children in your group, you can proceed to enter the details of each adult and child, such as age, gender, ID proof number, and phone number.

Step 6

Additionally, the group leader’s photo must be uploaded. You will be taken to the payment page after checking all the details, making the payment and your safari booking will be confirmed.

Important things to keep in mind

Corbett National Park presents many challenges to tourists when booking safaris and choosing zones for experiencing the wilderness. Let us help!

Here are a few things to consider before booking the safari.

  • The booking fee for a Jeep or Canter has to be paid at the time of booking online.
  • Bring the same ID proof as you did when you booked. A valid passport is a requirement for anyone not from India.
  • Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable once they have been confirmed.
  • To ensure availability, a booking must be made at least 70-80 days in advance if you plan to take a Jeep Safari in the Dhikala zone.
  • In order to guarantee your safari, you should book your slot 45 days (for Indians) and 90 days (for foreigners) in advance.
  • There is no guarantee that the park will remain open to visitors when it is closed.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before the safari begins. The difference in the payment can be paid at the booking window during entry time if the payment is revised.
  • The guide will provide instructions before the safari begins.
  • You may encounter insects that are poisonous to your body, such as mosquitoes and other insects. In order to avoid this, wear comfortable, long-sleeve clothing.
